DM10 Studio MIDI Settings For Roland FriendJam

(1/2) > >>

brandonstelly:
I'm sorry in advance if this has already been posted but I searched the forums and didn't find anything like this.

I just downloaded the Roland FriendJam program (http://www.roland.com/FriendJam/V-Drums/download/) and wanted to see if it would work with my DM10 Studio.  After trial and error, I came up with the following MIDI settings to properly send to FriendJam via USB.

During the program setup, choose the "V-Pro Series TD-30" as your kit.
From the home screen on the DM10:
1. <INST>
2. <MIDI>
3. Change the parameters of the following triggers to these settings:

All= MIDI Chan: 10; Gate Time: OFF; Note Off: SENT

MIDI Note:
Kick1=36
SnrHd=38
Tom1Hd=50
Tom2Hd=47
Tom3Hd=43
Perc3(Tom4Hd)=41
HiHat=46
Crash(Chokable)=49
Prc2Hd(SingleZoneCrash)=57
Ride(3-Zone)=51

The HiHat pedal worked by default.

Your mileage may vary, but it worked like a charm for me.   ;D

Hellfire:
Awesome info, thanks for the heads up.

Sharkuel:
Hey brandonstelly.

Thanks for the MIDI map man. Gonna try it out. :)

By the way Hellfire, doesn't this topic deserve a sticky?! It is quite usefull for the greenhorns here on the forum. ;)

Okay. Done.

I used the following settings to get the Dm10 to work with Roland DT-1: http://www.dmdrummer.com/index.php?topic=2753.msg20663#msg20663
