An Alesis 10" Nitro Pro Snare drum wants to play with Alesis Strike Multipad

Happy to have found this forum! Just a retired drummer, enjoyed a 70's Slingerland kit I play left hand with our band. did some sound reinforcement, some record engineering at Original sound recorders, many years ago.  

picked up my sticks for ol DTX to jam with friends then a Simmons mesh kit which I gave to my niece!, cause now the Strike pad is my playa!  

I miss that E Snare though! so any tips to marry this beautiful pad with the Multipad would be very appreciative. 

Add a snare stand, plug into trigger input 2/3 , assign pad, adjust, and import (2) samples, mesh and rim yes?
