Hi,
New to the Alesis family. Getting back to playing after a couple of decades. I've seen a lot of videos where people are using low-volume cymbals, triggers, etc. to replace the cymbal pads. Has anyone used the triggers off of the cymbal pads that come with the kits? Can you even do that? Any advice or information would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

What exactly are you asking?
Taking the Trigger components out of the Factory Pads?...Piezo's and switches are mounted with strong adhesives or glued in..you'll destroy them trying to remove them which is typically what happens during replacement of a broken Piezo or switch.
There are Manufacturers like
Goedrum DIY that sell components/trigger boxes if that's what you are looking for.
Metal Cymbals typically don't work as well as one would think (they will work..but so will a paper plate or a Frisbee)...Modules can't interpret the waveform properly and if you have ever seen a slow motion Video on how a Metal Cymbal distorts/Vibrates it's easy to under stand why..usually a Mute ring is required to help out...Metal Cymbals are also acoustically louder than the Plastic/Rubber Cymbals.
Zildjian came out with their own Module/Kit.
