Author Topic: Alesis Nitro Pads Circuit - Are these the right resistors?  (Read 1225 times)

I have 3D printed my own 12" snare pad to replace the 8" snare pad on my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit.

However, the pad is way too sensitive and most of the head shots are being picked up as rim shots. After some research I realised I needed resistors connected to the piezos. So, I opened up the existing 8" snare pad to look at the connections inside and it looks like this...

There appear to be 150k resistors inbetween ground and the tip or ring and 120k (head) and 68k (rim) resistors between positive and tip/ring. I think the circuit is like this....

Does this look right to you folks?

Thanks,

Mike

Well, I personally have never had a Nitro pad to look at. So, as long as you traced the small PCB and used continuity testing to test, you're probably good to go. Sometimes things can be a little trial and error.
