Arware DCH-612-2 Remote Control Hi Hat
« on: May 07, 2021, 06:07:13 PM »
Has anyone heard of the brand "Arware"?

(Edited to add a link) - https://reverb.com/item/28573201-arware-dch-612-2-remote-control-hi-hat

I'm looking at remote control hi hat's to free up some space, and I've seen this one for sale in a couple places. It's a 1-3 hundred less than any other remote hi hat I can find, but I can not find anything about that brand anywhere or on any forum.

Has anyone heard of this brand? Are they any good?

Thanks,
J

It's cheaper..until you add shipping...
I have set up a couple kits over the years with the remotes as a 2nd Hi Hat...
The biggest complaint for these has always been "stiffness" and you need to watch cable length..if you can loop it etc and the rod length.
There is a Griffin model similar priced (200 FREE SHIP) and you can read mods and reviews .

The Pearl Eliminator Redline is under $300.00 everywhere and has a cam system.. coupons from GC and others apply to it.I purchased one for a friend a year or so ago for around 230-240 with a GC coupon.
It has a mini 2 leg stand..

Ha! I should have seen that. LOL
I've seen the shipping costs on other hardware, and laughed when it was so high. Can't believe I missed this one. Thanks.

Thanks for the info on he cable length. Why does that affect it? (I've never used a legless stand before.)

I've seen the Griffin's as well, and have a couple saved. I was just intrigued by that "apparent" inexpensive cost of the Arware, and the fact I cannot find any info on that brand ANYWHERE. :)

I have a couple two-legged stands saved in various places. But, knowing myself, I would eventually wish I'd gotten a remote stand anyway. LOL

I appreciate the info. Thanks again.
