Quick intro from South Tyneside - England
« on: May 02, 2010, 07:06:59 AM »
Just a quick hello from England.

I happened to come across DMdrummer while watching Hellfire's Mesh conversion video a few months back and mainly lurked looking for info on the DM10 kit.

At the time I was looking at the Yamaha DTXtreme 3 set that some retailers had for £999, and as I have never played drums (Unless Guitar hero counts ), I couldnt justify the cost.

I left it a few months then noticed the DM10 studio for £699, which seemed Ideal for a newbie. Got the kit as soon as they became available in the UK and decided to sign up to this forum, which has given me a great insight into the DM world.

Musically, I play guitar and have done for 12 years but I have always had an interest in drumming since I first heard Iron Maiden in '89!!

Anyhoo - thats my quick (!!?) intro done.

Regards, Kev

Welcome Kev,

I'm not a drummer, but a keyboard player.  The kit may be for my 9yo son, but I'm havin' a hell of a time with it.  :).

Please post often any and every thought, question, concern, etc... as many experienced drummers, and new converts, are all learning from each other.
