Hello All,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to everyone. I have been playing drums off and on since the 1900's, 1979 actually. I have always used Alesis and nothing else. Currently I own the following Modules: DM5, DM10, Command Module & the SamplePad Pro. I have the original pads that came with my DM5 believe it or not. I own Strike Pro pads, Turbo Pads, Pintech, Simmons, Donner, Kat, and even some I have made myself. I am always looking for ways to improve on what I have and what I use. I really love my DM10 and use it with Addictive Drums for rehearsals. I use the SamplePad Pro for live settings. I have already found the community helpful with my DM10 module and look forward to learning more from the group. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the community!

Looks like you got a little bit of everything. That's awesome!

Do you use all of those different pads on the same kit or do you change things up from time to time?

I change them up leaving a kit for our practice space and one for home use. I am always buying different pads and trying them out. I found a lot of Pintech cymbal pads and wound up using the Ride cymbal pad in my main kit. The others were just to noisy for me. 90% of my gear has been bought used from Reverb, E-bay. There is a music store in my area Mountain Music they have stores on Reverb & E-bay and he always has a good selection of pads and other used goodies. I have bought pads, mounts, used shells to make pads you name it he usually has it.
