Hey I am a hybrid user in that I have Alesis pads and Roland cymbals, my base kit is a Surge mesh with chrome legs and black mesh pads, I upgraded to a Crimson II module but then found a great deal on a Roland TD-17. I have an Alesis 14" DMPad but not super thrilled. All in the cymbals are the biggest miss when it comes to Ekits, though I have not tired the Zildjian's. When I play my acoustic kit I really miss the versatility of the added sound bytes, like hand claps and different cow bells, so thinking of adding the Yamaha EAD10 and sticking a couple of small pads on it, has anyone tried that?
Anyway I am a bit of a techie and always up to try new stuff.

Welcome to the community!

Sound as if you use your edrums as more of a practice instrument. If the EAD10 doesn't work out you could always try a multipad unit for the extra sounds. What kind of acoustic kit are you using?
