Ocean Way Drums Group Buy 1

A quick question for anyone (if there is anyone?) who bought and is using the Group Buy software with an Alesis Trigger IO:

What settings/set-up are you using to achieve a variable hihat?

It is suggested over at V-Drums Forum that the hihat script should be mapped to the V-Drum one, but I know for other software (i.e. BFD) that it works best if the Trigger IO 'processing' of the hihat cymbal and pedal is skipped (i.e. by setting the open and closed midi note to the same and setting the 'foot chick' to an unused/unrecognised midi note) and the software is allowed to process the CC4 data.

I have recently taken delivery on my Alesis Trigger IO and have put together a prototype variable hihat controller using an FSR, but the limited testing I have done so far doesn't seem to give full variability, even with the beta hihat patch.

I will be spending this weekend setting everything up, so any hints and tips regarding the hihat will be greatly received.
