Hello everyone, I just joined, thanks to the forum administrators for allowing me membership.
My name is Rami. I play a Roland FR4X accordion. I purchased an Alesis SR 18 drum machine, starting to learn and research the machine. At this point, I'm not focusing on creating beats, but trying to find an existing beat and adapt it to the style I'm playing.
I've reached the point where specific questions need to be answered if I want to continue.
1. Unfortunately, I didn't find a variety of rhythms for tango, rumba, waltz, pseudobla, bolero. Most of the rhythms are rock, jazz, contemporary rhythms.
2. Is there a possibility to load the device with another/additional rhythm kit. How? Where to get it.
3. Is it possible to set a 3/4 rhythm for waltzes in RECORD/SETUP mode. How?
4. Is it possible to set a rhythm for tango and rumba styles in RECORD/SETUP mode.

That's it for now
I would appreciate a reference
Rami

Welcome to the Forum !

There isn't nor has there ever been any other patterns available except for those in the SR-18
and the SR-18 has No USB Port or anyway other way to transfer DATA other than 5 PIN MIDI ports
which can be used to copy/clone from SR-18 to SR-18

There are some 3/4..

P87 Jazz/Waltz 140 Tempo..3/4
P98 Waltz   160 Tempo ...3/4

U66 Jazz Waltz II  180 Tempo...3/4

The rest is learning how to program patterns etc etc..
There are some very old grainy Video/Tutorials made years ago (decade+) on the Web...here are links to a few that  are more recent
around a year or so...

ALESIS SR18 - How to Program Patterns Part 1

ALESIS SR18 - How to Program Patterns Part 2

ALESIS SR18 - How to Program Patterns Part 3

How 2 Noise Youtube Channel

Here is a Video for programing a Waltz in the SR-16..The procedure should be similar for the SR-18

Alesis SR 16 3/4 time or waltz beat
