Alesis dmtouch App please help!!

Hello everyone and thanks for accepting my registration.
I have the DM DOCK purchased from a friend of mine new I have ipad but I cannot find anywhere the software App.
Has anyone the app to send it to me?
Or an alternative how to make useful the DM DOCK again with some other applications? Thanks kindly regards Jim.

I think you are looking for the DM Touch App. Unfortunately because Alesis no longer supports the DMDock I don't know of any place that you can download the App. This is the problem with Apple store dependent Apps for old products. Once the company stops supporting them, the app goes away as well.

I have no idea. I've never owned a DMdock. I don't think many were sold. That would explain why there really isn't much out there on it.

I am neckdeep in a Frankensteinian DM Dock edrum project right now. The project overview, with photos ?my first attempt to post yesterday failed? should be posted over on the Lobby/Sight & Sound subforum shortly; however, regarding usability,

the short answer is absolutely yes, there are a few usable apps for iOS/iPadOS, but they are hit and miss...pun intended. I installed and uninstalled several freebies straightaway. I kept a few I have not tried yet, e.g. Barbax and Korg Gadget, but have not tried them out.

I briefly tested, then immediately bought Digistix2. It worked immediately in basic function, and saved for later while I test it, this weekend, with a few serious Windows 10 libraries and hosts.

Barba Xdrums is good has midi learn, multizone capabilities, but lack of edit the trigger / piezo itself
So i wish someone make something like this to edit the parameters gain threshold xtalk retrigger cancel etc for ios to work with any kind of vst and with tested preset for each pad module etc . if i had the knowledge i will make asap one app like this.

It has been brought to my attention that the FREE DM DOCK app requires App./iTunes Store Personal Info and Apple ID of the Original down loader.
A User obtained one of my personal email accounts in this app and contacted me through my personal email..requesting the additional info outside this Forum.

The POST and all Links info etc references etc to the install have been DELETED....the User Blocked.
I posted I would not be available for assistance and I meant it...that especially includes giving out Personal Info.

The DM DOCK is a DEAD product.

For Future Reference for Anyone looking at purchasing a DM Dock ....

Do Not Purchase a DM DOCK unless an iPad with the DM Touch app installed... is included.

i tried everything from side loading to export ipa without id bound nothing works

Yep. He is right. I am retired, and had the time and inclination to extensively tinker with the damned thing, having done a similar route a decade ago with an IODock.

I managed to get mine to work satisfactorily with only one app, Dstix2, of two dozen tested (others communicated okay, but sucked)... and it was a faff of hassles.

However, as a hobbyist-basic midi trigger box, software options (careful here....candystore buffet of crap hiding a few gems) of free x64/x86 stuff in the DAW ecosystem, it was worth the $50 I paid, but.... Caveat emptor.

Thats not 100% correct. If you have an IPAD that is Jailbroken with AppSyncUnified installed from Cydia, you can install any App, independant from who bought / downloaded it. As this was a free app it should not be an issue. But i stll understand that you don?t want people to get you eMail adress via that.

I posted all of the instructions on the proper way to install ALL older iPad apps on any iPad WITHOUT JAILBREAKING using the last version of iTunes that Apple allowed to before removing all download links years ago....It still works properly as it should..you can even install on current models , however..the app will be added to the screen but will display an error and Not Install unless the Developer updates it (64bit and Distribution Profile is required after iOS11)....Not everyone wants to Jaibreak an iPad.(I was a Developer for years and occasionally create but only share with Pro Musicians through TestFlight.)


I have installed DM Touch numerous times including recently on 20 iPad 4 with No Issues and No Need for even an Apple ID on them.I will be listing all of the DM Docks I purchased when they were discontinued after I finish loading All of the apps available at the time which are now Abandonware.

The issue was I provided links I hosted for the iTunes Version and the DM Touch app and the user wasn't able to with jailbreaking sideloading etc etc and hacked the app and instead of using the Forum..sent emails asking for the password.The email is your AppleID..

He also uploaded to his account/profile..on the Archives..the same/last day on this forum..
I have since transferred all apps (over 2,000 32 bit) to a new id and Terminated the other account.

Just wanted to say, that .ipa can be installed via AppSync / Jailbreak. But i guess you know that anyway ;-)

Any yes. This just works for an IOS Version that is able to use 32Bit apps. Which would be fine for me. But as far as I can see my DM Dock seems to have an overall problem :-( (See other thread).
