Strike Multipad USB issues
« on: March 04, 2024, 09:58:16 AM »
Hello

I've been using the Strike Multupad for about 18 months now and as recently as December for theatre work. Not having used the pads for 6 weeks, I now am starting to programme the pads again and the USB memory port doesn't seem to work. On importing sounds the pad are saying 'No USB Memory'. I have the right formatted stick and have tried different formatted sticks, but still no joy.
Has anyone else had this issue?????

Welcome to the Forum !

Some FAT32 Formatting including Windows don't always work for formatting Fat32 for Alesis products..for whatever reason..are you using Windows?...
I use GUI Format..it always work for Alesis products..

Click on the image to download...

Format your USB Drive with Windows 1st (Fat32)...then Quick Format using the GUIFormat..the program isn't installed on your system..it runs as standalone.

I attached a set of Octobans I just created specifically for the SMP..Naming Format etc etc..for testing
I just took a Fresh "Cheap" 32GB USB Flash Drive...Formatted to the instructions above..copied over the wav files and No Issues..

"Reading USB Memory" and "Imported Multiple".

If you do not experience the same success...I would Reset the SMP..if the issue still remains you'll have to contact  Alesis support.
Hopefully it goes well.
