New member introduction

I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago and have been reading through many posts.  I figure it is time to introduce myself.

I started playing drums in 1969 on a cheap Japanese import kit from, of all places, Sears.  I expanded it to a double bass set, and have always used Zildjian cymbals.  Around 1980 I bought a Ludwig Pro Beat set and added a second bass drum.  It is silver sparkle and configured almost identically to my favorite drummer, Ginger Baker.

In the 80's and 90's, I went crazy buying Simmons gear.  I owned an SDS8, SDS7, Portakit, MTM and an SDX kit.  I have sold some of the Simmons gear and am looking to sell the rest.  It is awesome gear and I enjoyed it, but as it has gotten older, it has developed issues that I don't want to have to deal with.

I need some e-drums and  have ordered an Alesis Strike Pro SE kit...probably won't be in stock until late February/early March.  I plan to add the Strike Pad to the kit.

Welcome to the forum! Pro SE is a nice looking kit. Let us know what it like once you get it up and running.
