Can anyone recommend a good, FREE, recording software?  Any problems with Audacity?

Audacity works, its very basic/bland but many swear by it. You can get free versions of almost all decent recording software like Ableton, Cubase, and so on.. just google free recording software, check out the info and example videos, or search youtube, they all have channels with how to's and there are a zillion youtubers who post how they use their DAW software and samples of their work.
