Strike Ride 2 Trigger
« on: June 24, 2020, 08:07:52 PM »
Hello everyone.  I have a Strike module which I am using with Command Mesh pads and cymbals.  I do not have a 3 zone ride, so I was wondering if the Ride 2 trigger can be used for a cymbal or drum pad, with a cymbal, tom, percussion instrument or whatever (other than a ride).  I've tried a 10 inch cymbal in Ride 2 but it is not even triggering.  I tried changing it to piezo but no luck.  Thanks for your help!

Ride 1&2 inputs are tied together as a circuit.
Ride 2 input completes the circuit and doesn't function as a normal input.

Similar applies to the STRIKE Ride cymbal itself. Both outputs need to have something in them, either a dummy plug or a TRS cable to the Ride 1 input otherwise the cymbal won't function.
Different combinations provide different cymbal configurations.

Got it.  Thanks for clarifying.
