Replacement boom stand for DM10x

Have the original DM10x kit and one of the boom stands had an accident.  Anyone know which Gibralter or other brand boom arm can fit into the posts on a DM10x?

If you are using the factory rack with the plastic tops , they are 7/8"..

Awesome. Thanks for the info.  Don't know why it was so hard for Alesis to tell me this.... or why the folks at the church couldn't measure it.  ::)

worst case scenario, buy a standalone boom stand and mount your cymbal off the rack.. I do this with my ride.. it cuts on rack shaking as well as looks a lot more like a drumset :)

So I ordered the Gibralter 4425MB and it is too small!  Luckily I was able to be at the location of the kit when they arrived and had a tape measure in the truck.  Looks like the factory cymbal spots on my rack are 1"  Hopefully there are some out there. The search continues.....

I went and remeasured and the extra rack posts I have with the plastic mount pinned in..they are 7/8" , but I think they may be newer rack posts as I found an old thread with the same problem your having.

Yup, exactly the issue I'm having. I guess since our rack is an older one it has 1" downtube holes instead of 7/8"

Did some digging.... looks like there are shims out there made for motorcycle handlebars. Wonder if they will work?

I don't see how you could hold the shims in place very well especially during adjustment and if one drops down the post it will be a nightmare, and if the other boom breaks...
I would just remove/replace the tops with the GIBRALTAR SC-RMAA

I use these and three interchangeable nylon bushings to accommodate a 3/4", 7/8", or 1" are included so you could use whatever size you needed.

So because I am stubborn, cheap and generally curious about simple ways to fix things.... here is what I ended up doing.

Went to Lowes and bought a heat shrink tube for $4. (the walls are 1/16" thick, theoretically making a 7/8 downtube 1")

Cut it in half and used a heat gun to shrink it down tight to the downtube.

Mount and rock!

Hey that looks incredible and what a terrific hack to make it work!

Let me just say that I'm glad you cut the heat shrink tube in half horizontally and NOT vertically    ;D
