Can someone break down a sample pad in relation to adding it to your drum kit. Not sure if I am understanding this entire concept yet

SETTING UP DM10 WITH SAMPLEPAD PRO

TRIGGER SOUNDS FROM SAMPLEPAD PRO USING DM10
You will first need to connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI Out port on the DM10 module to the MIDI In port on the SamplePad Pro. Once this is done, please follow the steps below:

SamplePad Pro
1. Navigate to the Options menu by holding the Cursor Up and and Cursor Left buttons for two seconds.
2. Use the Cursor Up/Down buttons to highlight MIDI. Press the Cursor Right button to view these settings.
3. Make sure Receive Channel is set to All.
4. Set Receive Program Changes to Yes.

DM10 module
1. Press Utility to access the module's Utility Menu.
2. Press MIDI (F2) to access the MIDI settings.
3. Press Out (F3) to access the MIDI output settings.
5. Use the Cursor Up/Down buttons to move through the menu items and Value Up/Down or the Value Dial to adjust Prog. Chng to Sent, Clock Out to Sent if you want the DM10's
MIDI clock to be the "master" clock or "Not Sent" if you do not want the DM10 to send out MIDI clock information, MIDI Thru to Off.

ASSIGNING SAMPLES TO SAMPLEPAD PRO - PAD OR EXT. TRIGGER
1. Move the cursor to the Trigger Location parameter by pressing the Cursor Up or Cursor Down buttons.
2. Use the Cursor Left or Cursor Right buttons to select the pad or ext. trigger that you would like to assign the sample to.
3. Move the cursor to the Sample Location parameter by pressing the Cursor Up or Cursor Down buttons.
4. Use the Cursor Left or Cursor Right buttons to select the location of the sample that you would like to assign. (internal or card)
5. Move the cursor to the Sample Name parameter by pressing the Cursor Up or Cursor Down buttons.
6. Use the Cursor Left or Cursor Right buttons to browse the internal memory or SD card and select the sample that you would like to assign to this trigger location.

ADDING SAMPLES TO SAMPLEPAD PRO
1. Insert your SD Card into the SamplePad Pro.
2. Connect your SamplePad Pro to your computer.
3. Turn on the SamplePad Pro.
4. After its done booting up, hold down the LEFT and UP OPTIONS arrows to enter the Options mode.

5. Select LOAD SAMPLES/KITS VIA USB by pressing the RIGHT arrow. Your computer will now attempt to connect to your SamplePad Pro.
Note: This may take a few minutes depending if you're using a PC or Mac.
6. When ready, for PC users, open your Windows Explorer Window and navigate to your SD card. For Mac users, open your Applications Window and navigate to your SD card.
7. Open this location and you can now add your supported .WAV files and kits to the SD card. If you downloaded third party sounds, move or copy those files in this SD Card location.
8. When finished, Right Click your SD Card in your window and select EJECT.
9. You may now exit from the SamplePad Pro by holding the LEFT and UP OPTIONS arrows.

Ok maybe I didn't word my question right. Are you buying this for additional pads or does this solve the issue of layering your samples further than the module would allow you to
