12" DMPAD
« on: December 10, 2010, 12:32:28 PM »
I purchased a 12" rubber DMPAD to use as a hihat with my DM10 module that is coming next week. The pad however is the crash cymbal. Can this pad be used as a hihat?   ???

To be honest, If you have the DMPad 12" cymbal (Single zone) It's the same exact same cymbal with a different "label".

If you actually DID get the DMPad 12" Crash, it's chokeable. If you use a mono cable and ignore that "feature" it'll function the same.

Others feel free to chime in if you think my statement is inaccurate.

Thank you so much. I felt like a yahoo! I just saw the DM12" caption and didn't realize my mistake.

It should work.. all the triggers are basically piezos attached to something (plate, cymbal, plastic pad..)..
