DM10 more audio outputs?
« on: December 28, 2010, 06:14:10 PM »
Hi!
Has somebody thought about a way to get more audio-outputs with splitted channels out of the dm10 > for better live-mixing?
the only way i see is to send the midi data to my old school akai s6000-sampler with its 16 audio outs. but this samples is damn heavy, so i´d love to leave it at home.....
any ideas?

Hi einfach, Welcome to the forum!

You can use the additional AUX outs to separate some instruments to channels if you select the "MAIN&AUX" option in the General tab of the Utilities menu. So you can have 4 different out channels for mixing and if you treat cymbals and toms as mixing groups this could be sufficient for your needs.

But be aware that this way the effects on instruments are not available on the AUX channel and accompaniment will also be re-routed.

Real mixing on every single instrument is only manageable with MIDI and, maybe, a lighter laptop 8)
