Manual online
http://pearldrum.com/support/product-catalogs/2017-mimic-pro-user-manual.pdf

Ps: 1-4096 velocity trigger resolution instead of 1-128, up to 3000 wav per instruments,  Individual range control to make more soft sounding instead of harder sample at higher velocity, total control of tonality for taste, outside the ASR.

Wow, the preset instruments should sound freakin' amazing based on this manual info (plus their Mic, Mod, FX & Trigger adjustments):

"Mimic Pro’s factory library has up to 28 velocity layers with up to 12 round robin hits per each velocity layer. These hits in combination with the amount of channels in the samples plus the amount of articulations, gives the user up to 3000 samples per instrument. With a powerful physical modelling engine Mimic Pro supports up to 4096 velocities, so even if an instrument has 28 velocities, it will still have 4096 levels of dynamics, or volume. This gives users thousands of sound nuances on each instrument, something never possible in electronic drums before Pearl’s Mimic Pro."

yes, also others things will be added later, there is plenty of control on anything for the sound, triggering as well

Out of curiosity. As a casual edrummer, what advantage does the Mimic Pro give me over my cheaper module and a laptop?  I understand having a laptop is a pain if you move the drums around (and I am assuming you would have a laptop), but is that all you are getting out of this - a portable VST machine?

Well, MIMIC is not a vst teleportation, it's a OS build for the module and expandable,  others parts can be added like sequencer, fx with update etc.. Higher resolution triggering, 1-4096, compare to 1-128 to others module. With the editor later, you will able to imports users wav and build multilayered instruments, mix from different sound\ library together in one kits, this is more complicated to mix vst in PC.  There is song\click track\metronome routing built in, this is another things you need to add as extra device or laptop, you can routes everything on audio outs, You can route direct mics to any individual outputs, can route Overhead mic bus (actually a sum of all overhead mics from all instruments) to any individual output, can route Room mic bus (actually a sum of all room mics from all instruments) to any individual output ,can route Reverb bus, metronome bus, click track bus to any individual outputs including mics.

Direct control of trigger inside instead of using x module with computer, you will have different result and consistency, each vst have their own control and each module have their own control, you are mixing 2 "triggers" system together, consistency is not the same.

You cannot pan cymbal, they are in microphone on overhead, like in the studio environment,  it is clearly stated on the manual, there is nothing wrong, and the 2 layers, its option for another sound.
This guy wasted his time because he did not go to pearl forum or even call them, could be set on 1 day.

Drum Tec video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60UglPYaMsY

New Video with ATV and adrum and mimic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCTC9cNd5D8&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop

For store bundle or users,  there is now a possibility to import/export custom trigger presets (with user defined names)
So, drum tec\jobeky\atv or any can just dial the pads on mimic, export presets with proper names, and distribute these with bundle\ supports\ sharing
Mimic trigger preset import is easy (just import from usb flash stick)

Stealthdrums.com video demo with the performance of Stealth Drums, Cymbals and Stealth PDP/FD Hi Hat Stand/Controller using the new Pearl Mimic Pro drum sound module. The Pearl Mimic Pro has outstanding real high quality sampled drums. The Trigger Engine is incredible! So many detailed settings that can be tweaked, drums and cymbals are working flawlessly! Additionally with the easy USB stick export feature I can simply email the Stealth Trigger Presets for my customers using Stealth Drums and or Stealth Cymbals with the Mimic Pro module which can be imported into their own module. Simple, no fussing, just load up the preset, tweak if necessary to your own play style and have fun! "
