DD501 hihat pedal saga
« on: December 21, 2017, 07:27:04 AM »
Hi!
I’m Jim and new to this forum. I’ve got a DD502 practice rig at home (which I picked up on the cheap) but the hihat pedal doesn’t work. I’ve checked the looms and connections either end which seem fine so I tried to source a new pedal. I found an Alesis DMPRO pedal which didn’t seem compatible (only made a tish when first plugged in).
Any ideas please? I know it’s not a top end kit or anything, but I’m not ready to upgrade for a while yet and would like to get this sorted.

Many thanks you wonderful people!
Jim

I got this from an Alesis representative:

If you need Alesis replacement parts, contact our parts team by calling 401-658-3131 Ext. 1403, or you may also email them at parts@inmusicbrands.com.

I couldn't find a black 8" mesh head anywhere. I contacted them and got one right away at a decent price. I'm glad I did that because I really like these Alesis heads.

Sorry I can't be more help. Try emailing them, though. They might have some answers for you.
