Pedal Curve??!! Who knew?
« on: December 27, 2016, 01:32:17 PM »
Sorry if this has been explained before...just really excited to share because it made a difference...

After owning my DM10X for almost four years, I just stumbled across a setting that just completely changed the feel of the hi hat.

There is a setting for the pedal curve...Not the hi-hat curve, but for the pedal itself! Holy crap has that made a huge difference in the expression ability and the overall "feel" of the groove.

For those who don't know -  follow these step on a DM-10 module
-EXT TRIG
-NOTE CHASE
-NOTE CHASE (This will help for the unintended bump of something else.)
-F4 - CAL
-F4 - CURV

There you go!

Kinda ashamed I have never seen this setting before :-[ ....Guess I always figured the pedal sensitivity was a "is what it is" thing.

Anyway, hope this helps...

Happy drumming.

So, what curve and cal settings gave you the best for hi hat realism? I've been tweaking mine for months!

Thanks!
