Holy crap!... glad I read that. Mine are in firm, but not tight. I have to imagine they are touching the PCB. I've got a piece of foam I could put in there.

It seems to work if you pinch, not harder, but firmly... and for a length of time, not just a quick squeeze. I'm under the impression that this is the same sensor (I may be wrong) that senses crashing the bow of the cymbal... and if that's the case, then a long squeeze tells the DM10 that this is a choke move and not a bow hit.
