Hi,

I cracked my LCD display. Does anyone knows where/how to get a spare part?

Thanks.

Hi.

I'm glad to say that I ordered the part from this gentleman.

http://www.instrumentalparts.com/

This site should be in a sticky with a title that says something like: Recommendations

Here's how that happened.

Googled and googled:
Found these sites(only posting sites directly relevant and that I actually contacted):

1.- http://www.instrumentalparts.com/
2.-http://www.telesisgear.com/id2.html

First I didn't see the part in instrumentalparts.com so I emailed and asked.

Then I went to the Alesis Community and found a reply by our famous Hellfire  about a DM PRO LCD screen replacement. The part was not being posted in their site but Hellfire reco to contact them. (Same idea I had)

Emailed alesis(twice. Once directly once through their contact form. USE THEIR CONTACT FORM in the future.)
Posted here

Got reply from telesis. Their supplier said to call Alesis.

Got reply from instrumentalparts THEY HAVE IT in supply. All the best, thanks to my inquiry they added the part to their website for others to purchase:

http://www.instrumentalparts.com/allcddiscdm.html

So anyone can see it now.

The whole thing with shipping from East Coast to West coast was around 86 bucks.

I'll let you know once I place it in the module.

The LCD screen arrived this Saturday, it was a matter of 20 minutes to install into the module after de-soldering and soldering the POWER cable into the LCD pins and voila, like "new". I definitively recommend these guys (instrumentalparts.com) for those of you without a warranty or those of you who don't want to deal with Alesis 2 1/2 week RMA process. I also recommend Moderators put this as a sticky since it's really helpful information for Alesis users and is very scarce information right now on the Internet.

Awesome... Thanks for sharing the leg work you did and posting the result. Definitely going to save somebody some time & frustration down the road...

I've been to that site before for a DM5 knob/pot, great to have access to that kind of stuff... $79 for the display, ouch... Nobody go near my module!

I second it, sticky the link... the site is not easy to find.
