yet another Hi hat thread

I recently purchased the DM10 module as an upgrade from a simmons Sd7k. In Short its pretty awesome..  The issue I am having is related to the hi hat control.  I can not open or close the hi hat. I thought perhaps I was just missing a setting or something simple on the DM10 module so I plugged it into the old simmons module and I get the same problem..  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried calibrating the hi-hat pedal?

Are you using a Simmons pedal? That could be the issue. I have a simmons sd7pk and the hi hat pedal does not work on my dm10.
