new to dm drumming

hello fello drummers my name is carey whitley and i'm from north carolina serving in the us army. I have been drumming for 20 plus years but the last 15 have been a little on the slack side. I just recently got my dream set the alexis dm10x. My choice was because i can change so much, trigger a lot more and all in all i just liked the bang for the buck. brand new in box i paid just over 800 during an end of the year sale and i had to take the deal. there will be a mesh kit in my future. there will be some sort of rack dampening. i'm already debating  purchasing bluejay. I guess my one and only question is after such a hefty investment where do i go from here.

Set it all up, get comfortable with the screens and settings. There are a few key posts here on how to set it up for thresholds, sensitivity, zone talk, and cross talk here http://www.dmdrummer.com/index.php?topic=1571.0

There is a good tutorial on converting to mesh heads

and rack dempening

this should be a good start. Good Luck!
