My "studio" kit
« on: March 17, 2011, 05:22:45 PM »
Added a couple of diy pads. And the kit is awesome!

But i need more inputs. Support for dual zone hi hat. More chokable cymbals. The possibility to completely turn of xtalk/crosstalk. And last but not least, more inputs! Now i have to use the rim inputs on the toms to expand my kit. Then i will get trouble with dual triggering. If i use crashes from the rim inputs. It will cause muting of either the head or the rim from the same input.

To sum it up. I need megadrum.

Love that "tiny" cymbal in the middle!  And a couple of your DIY pads with the Pearl Muff heads look just like the ones I made!
DM10 Studio 2011 w/Surge Cymbals added, BB Mesh head conversion w/rubber muffs at bottom, one 12" A-E pad, Simmons DA200S, sometimes using 2 satellite speakers... Simmons SDMP-1 Multi-pad.

Bigger is better;) My snare and floor tom is 14".

Just started making some diy cymbals. I will post pictures when they are finished.

Give us a 'how to' in the DIY section if they work, please. :)

They work great:) I use the reflection plate method. After a lot of experiments with cone and plate i ended up with reflection plate. I even sewed one piezo straight on the mesh head.

Il see if i can take some pictures today and post it in the DIY section:)
